Kevin McCarthy is the experienced, friendly, helpful (ouch! you're hurting me!) manager of Lost In Music in all of their various disguises. He's full of useful advice on what kind of music you need for your special event.

Kevin started playing piano when he was 5 years old, and soon started on the road to rock 'n' roll excess by winning the under-11 Bach piano contest in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Be assured that he has improved somewhat since those early days. At 14, he gave up on his Grade 7 classical piano examination due to his new infatuation with the electric guitar, bass guitar and punk rock. Kevin then played in an originals band called 'Tonic' playing electronic pop. After that, he set about acquiring the biggest repetoire of chart songs that he could, standing him in good stead whenever anyone requested a tune.

He is a hugely experienced keyboardist and has played all over the UK, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Belgium, Holland, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, Spain, Finland, Egypt, Denmark and Germany with both function bands and original acts such as Hot Chocolate (televised stadium gigs, audience of around 16,000 - scary!) and Beverley Craven. He also sings backing vocals and is in demand as a session player.

Kevin also has an encyclopaedic, and somewhat useless, knowledge of 1970s and 1980s chart hits - go on, test him out. As a bonus, he also looks good in shorts (see the photo on the Skool Roolz page) and a wig (see Disco Inferno - he's the one in the fake fur coat).

He is also experienced, helpful and friendly. Really.
